How to Teach a Dog Off
Yes, who doesn’t like affection from our dogs? But, when our dog is frantic, excited and jumping all over you or your furniture it may be good to have an off command. In this chapter you will learn how to teach your puppy or dog how to back off of you and not jump up.
When you teach your puppy or dog the concept of backing “off” using our 4 phase training methods it will also help them understand backing off of your counters tops, furniture or anything they put their feet on. What you will notice when your dog generalized the “off” command is they will start to understand they get rewarded for staying off and get nothing for jumping up on you, other people or things.
