WHO IS RIDLEY K-9 ACADEMY?Ridley K-9 Academy is a mobile & inboard professional dog training services located in Placerville, California. We serve the greater El Dorado, Sacramento and Placer county regions. Ridley K-9 Academy has now expanded into Contra Costa County offering our In-board training service only. WHO IS GARRETT RIDLEY?Garrett Ridley is the owner and training director of Ridley K-9 Academy. After many different career paths, Garrett has followed his heart into the dog world. He has always been a dog person and loves being in the presence of and working with dogs. Garrett is currently training his personal dogs in the dog sport of PSA. Also Garrett is in training to be a professional certified PSA decoy under training directors, Luciano & Natalie Oliva, of Norcal Valley K-9 Club. After many years of training his own dogs, and countless requests from dog owners to train their dog(s), Garrett decided to form Ridley K-9 Academy. Now he is doing the greatest job in the world. "Doing what you love comes natural, there is never any force needed. That's why dog training comes natural to me. Because, I love it!" We stand for integrity, character and providing a professional dog training experience. We belives in being straight forward with our clients about all their dogs training needs. We believe using a mixture of both positive and negative reinforcement methods are necessary in order for your dog to be successful. However, we also believe every dog MUST be trained according to their own genetic disposition. We train all dogs, any size or breed. But, most of all, our focus is on teaching you how to become a better owner, handler and pack leader. We will show you how to work your dog using proper motivation, timing as well as teach you new handler techniques in order for you dog to be successful. We give you the experience and knowledge you need to control your dog in and out of public in a reasonable amount of time.
